Arusha National Park Day Tour
TOUR OVERVIEW
Just a short drive from Arusha town, Arusha National Park is a true little jewel — perfect for an unforgettable day trip. Though smaller than many of Tanzania’s other parks, it offers an incredible variety of landscapes, from lush forests and sparkling shallow lakes to the wide Ngurdoto Crater, all set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest peak.
The park is home to a rich diversity of wildlife. On your visit, you may spot herds of buffalo, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and antelope, as well as playful troops of colobus monkeys in the treetops. Bird lovers will also be delighted, as the park boasts more than 400 recorded bird species, including flamingos, turacos, and crowned eagles.
An early morning hotel pick-up ensures you make the most of the day, with plenty of time for game drives, short walks, and even canoeing on the Momella Lakes if you wish. The park’s smaller size and variety of habitats mean that wildlife encounters are frequent and diverse, offering an exciting safari experience without the long travel times.
TOUR ITINERARY
From Moshi town we pick you up from your hotel at around 08.00 for your short, one-hour drive to take you to Arusha National Park. We spend a full day in the park, maximising our opportunities to spot the excellent range of animal and birdlife it has to offer. A picnic lunchbox is included in the day tour. At around 17.00, we make the short return journey back to Moshi town where we should arrive around 18.00 to drop you off at your hotel
